Hyannis Library’s “Wednesday Talks and Tunes” Summer Series

I would like to submit events from time to time for the Children’s Room at the Hyannis Public Library. I was wondering what would be the best way to do that. Should I submit them here in the “Contact Us” section or is there an email to send it to?

Thank you.

The Hyannis Water System is starting a water works project in the neighborhood between Old Colony Road, illness South Street and Sea Street. I would like to send you a flyer for distribution to your members. Could send me a return e-mail so I can attach the flyer? Thank you, ambulance Hans

The Hyannis Public Library will feature Len Gobeil, prescription Special  Projects Coordinator for the Town of Barnstable on Wednesday, viagra August 13, 2014, at 6pm.  Len will report on the two recent projects he has been working on in celebration of the town’s 375th Anniversary.    He has been interviewing people from across the town and asking them to look back and remember the “Good Old Days” of their youth.  He has spoken to and recorded conversations with over 50 people, including Jack Aylmer, Barbara Klimm, Gene Burman, Dr. Keith Rapp, Marty Hoxie, Phil Scudder, Joe Da Luz, and many others.  The second project includes researching information about the 46 War Veterans from the Town of Barnstable who gave their lives in service during various wars.    Len will help you learn who the 45 men and one woman are and what they did to serve our town and country.  Mr. Gobeil himself has a long history with the town.  He was a graduate of the very first class of the Cape Cod Community College and he has been a radio announcer at both WQRC and WXTK, plus a public speaking and history teacher at Barnstable High school.

This free talk is part of the Hyannis Library’s “Wednesday Talks and Tunes” summer series.  All are welcome.  After the 6pm talk, attendees are invited to stroll over to the Hyannis Village Green at 7pm for a free concert by the Barnstable Town Band.
