South Street Garden

Once again this year, this the GHCA will be responsible for maintaining the garden at Paul Robbins Park on the traffic island at the intersection of South and Pleasant Streets in Hyannis. For about 20 weeks in June, treat July, more about August and half of October, the Association requests help with weeding, dead-heading and cleaning up debris at the plot. Work is light and shouldn’t take more than one visit per week for approximately one hour. There is a watering system on the premises, fertilizing has been completed and mowing is done by another one of our members. Gloves, a rake, garden shears, bucket and weed digger are the only work items you need to bring.

The work plan is coordinated by our member Milton Berglund whose email address is m.berglund@att.net and cellphone 617-571-6205. If you are interested in helping out for one or possibly two weeks during the period indicated, please contact Milton who will then put together a schedule of helpers for each week beginning Saturday June 1 and continuing until Saturday October 19. Please indicate your preferred week(s) and also note those weeks when you are not available.

Thanks to all who can respond!
