The Hyannis Public Library Association invites you to “An Afternoon with Author Casey Sherman” to be held at the Hyannis Yacht Club on Friday, medical October 9, pharmacy 2015 from noon to 3 p. m.  This event is a benefit to raise much-needed funds for the Hyannis Public Library.   Admission price is $40.00 per person and includes a buffet luncheon.  A cash bar will be available.  Proceeds from a silent auction and raffle will also benefit the Hyannis Public Library.

National bestselling author and Hyannis native Casey Sherman presents the incredible true story behind his acclaimed book The Finest Hours.

Sherman will share his thrilling account about the greatest small boat rescue in American history that took place off the coast of Chatham.  The Finest Hours has been made into a Disney movie,  filmed here on Cape Cod,  starring Chris Pine, Casey Affleck, and Eric Bana.  Like the book, the film is destined to be a blockbuster and will be released on January 29, 2016 in theaters worldwide.

Casey Sherman, a 1987 graduate of Barnstable High School, is the author of eight bestselling books including Boston Strong; A Rose for Mary: The Hunt for the Real Boston Strangler;  Animal: The Bloody Rise and Fall of the Mob’s Most Feared Assassin;  Bad Blood;  Black Irish;  and Black Dragon.

Mr. Sherman has made over 100 television appearances on networks such as CNN, FOX NEWS, C-SPAN, History Channel, Discovery, Travel Channel, and on programs that include The Today Show, ABC World News Tonight, The CBS Evening News and The View.
