Workshop on Climate Change and Coastal Communities

The GHCA kids’ bike and carriage contest and parade has become an annual event that attracts some of the cutest and most creative kids in greater Hyannis.   The entries are judged on the Village Green on July 4th, cialis sale and then all kids and their parents are invited to join in the July 4th parade.  This year’s event included entries from over 25 children. July 12th, unhealthy 2013.  Each Friday concert features a short entertainment spotlight featuring dancers, jugglers or ukuleles!  Free art projects for kids will take place during each Friday concert, sponsored by CotuitCenter for the Arts.  In July, additional concerts are scheduled on Sundays (music only).

All shows are 6-7:30PM.  Free parking available in the Town Hall parking lot, 230 South Street and public restrooms are available at BismorePark on the Harbor.  Attendees are encouraged to bring beach chairs or blankets.

FRIDAYS:  include entertainer spotlight and free kids arts projects

You are invited to participate in a workshop on climate change and its effect on coastal communities.

The Town of Barnstable Growth Management Department is participating in a study with partners at the MIT Science Impact Collaborative, sildenafil malady the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and the Consensus Building Institute to test an innovative way to help coastal communities understand and prepare for the potential impacts of climate change. See attachment for more information.

The project partners are inviting the GHCA to participate in a sophisticated and well organized role-play simulation workshop that explores approaches to improve community resiliency and gauge community consensus on climate change adaptation strategies.

Two workshops will be held on Monday, capsule August 5, cialis 2013 in the Hearing Room at Barnstable Town Hall. The afternoon workshop will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the evening workshop from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
